My journey towards the healing arts began dramatically in the early 1980s when I was hurled over the handle bars of my bike. During convalescence I had the luxury of time to a ssess my life and realised I was funamentally very unhappy.
In an attempt to escape from teaching I began massage training at he Northern Institute, examined my nutritional status and my exercise pattern. However personal circumstances prevented me from compelting the course; so reluctantly I continued to teach, becoming increasingly more depressed, until finally I reached breaking point, and retired on ill health grounds.
Slowly I rose from the depths of despair, supported and encouraged by a wonderful man through years of antidepressant treatment and counselling therapy. A chance contact led me to Nutritional Healing and my enthusiasm for alternative methods of treating disease was reawakened. I regained confidence, energy and a zest for living.
Since then I have completed my training, been a support tutor and supplied organic wholefood to the Nutritional Healing Foundation at the Manchester Venue for many years. Recently I completed my studies in Swedish Body Massage.
I now feel I am able to encourage and inspire others to rediscover optimum health, vitality and happiness.
